Saint Hubert was a nobleman and passionate hunter who lived in the 7th century in what is now Belgium.

According to tradition, on a Good Friday morning, while others were in church, Hubert chose to go hunting. Deep in the forest, he encountered a magnificent stag. As he prepared to strike, he saw a radiant cross shining between the animal’s antlers. In that moment, he heard a divine voice calling him to turn away from his worldly life and seek God.

Shaken and transformed, Hubert abandoned his former ways, devoted himself to prayer and service, and later became a bishop. Because of this vision, he is remembered as the patron saint of hunters, forests, and wildlife.

His story is not just about a miracle in the woods. It is about a heart interrupted and redirected. 🌲✝️
